Being fairly new to this forum, I felt the news article I copied and pasted below,might save someone from possibly having problems. If this is not the right place for it to be,I apologize and a moderator may move it. Anyway, this will stop me from trying Buymeds.

Pharmacy linked to Internet sales ordered closed
DES MOINES (AP) A Dubuque pharmacy's license was suspended by Iowa regulators who allege the drug store was involved in selling drugs from the Virgin Islands over the internet.
The Iowa Board of Pharmacy declared the Union Family Pharmacy an immediate threat to the public. The Dubuque Drug Task Force and federal Drug Enforcement Agency officers took control of Union Family Pharmacy, immediately closing the prescription department.
In court papers filed Friday, the state pharmacy board said Union Family Pharmacy paired with Pharmacom LLC, a company in the U.S. Virgin Islands, to sell prescription drugs filling more than 4,750 prescriptions over the Internet.
Visitors to the Web site http://www.buymeds.com are asked to fill out a medical questionnaire, which the site says is "thoroughly reviewed by one of our US licensed physicians."

Well the buymeds site is still up.
Oh well, I guess it is a matter of time before it is closed. We were just talking about the places that operate this way on the DEA thread.

Just another thought. I don't use buymeds, but I don't remember hearing about Union pharmacy filling their scripts. Was this a new player in the OP game?

Thank God our government is doing something about those darn senior citizens buying their meds from Canada. I feel much safer now.

I have ordered from buymeds 1 time and it was my last. I can't say I am to broken up over thier problem only to what it may mean will follow with some good OPs. In my opinion they deserve some trouble after what they put their customers through on a daily basis. I have read many posts about buymeds and I really don't think they use the pharmacy listed. I received my meds from pharmanet. They did say that they were changing pharmacies recently maybe this is one of thier newer pharmacies. I think the DEA is watching all of these OP's and as soon as they do something outside of the law they POUNCE on them. If they do stay in business some how I will not use them no matter how desperate I get. I don't want to get mixed up in thier legal troubles.

Maybe thousands of sick people, being willing to get caught up in their legal problems, will be just the ticket to bring attention to the undertreatment of chronic pain. Look at AARP and the elderly for instance getting behind the push to buy prescriptions cheaply from Canada. After all, they can't lock us all up, nor would the legal system want a bunch of crippled, extremely ill people clogging up their jails. Most states now are operating in the red, and cannot afford to have sick people in their prisons and jails.

Yup. Thank God there are laws to protect me from myself. I pose a real threat to society when pain free or minimized; no telling what I might do. I've even been known to go do my own grocery shopping when I can walk. Gotta love the government,- I'd put us right up there with al -quaeda and Ossama.

www.buymedsinc.com is still up and running. Placed and order for some fairly innocuous stuff, received in four days.

obviously they're still up, but it says their making changes.
