I'm not ordering for recreational purposes -- from the IOPs or the OPs.
But although I know I have a legitimate need for these medications, I also acknowledge the fact that whether I order from OPs or IOPs, I'm in that grey area of legality.
I see alot of people going back and forth on this. Some acting "holier-than-thow," but the simple fact is this: Getting RX meds, whether for pain or anything else, is not considered "okay" by the majority of society. The doctors call it "self-medicating" and consider it drug abuse. Certainly, the AMA considers the doctors who practice this way to be practicing in an unacceptable manner. Eventually, OPs will (I think) be illegal unless they are just dealing in OTC stuff and what would be the point in that, right?
Anyway, the point of this post is that we are all here for the same reason. We all know what we are doing. So, let's put the bickering to the side and help each other as much as we can. arik

I just placed my first order with an overseas pharmacy (non controlled meds)and I was suprised at how uncomfortable I am. It is a gray area and I suppose like a lot of people, it is easier and less unsettling if things were always absolute. If my income weren't so limited, if I had insurance....but if wishes were fishes, etc.

I know exactly how you feel. But don't worry about the IOP. I've done it for quite some time and the worst thing that happened was that once I never received my order. If you are looking for something close to Oxy, try Contugesic. It really works well for me. Also, I found a great IOP for Xanax -- $58 for 90 .5 pills. And I received them in about ten days which is great for an IOP.
Anyway, try not to worry. I know there's been alot of the "DEA" scare tactics going on here, but I do believe most of it is either fake or they are not giving us the full story. The DEA is not going to bother with someone getting persnal use quantity. Further, in order for such a thing to happen, it would have to be a cooperative effort involving DEA, Postal Service and Customs. As I said in an earlier post, even in this post-911 era, the various agencies do not like to share with one another and they still do not like to cooperate eith each other.
You'll be fine!

I order my hydro from US ops and don't worry at all when using them. I have used IOP's a few times and have been nervous about getting my packages seized from several posts I have seen here on db. Also, since they are overseas, who knows what is going on. I have only used imported for cheaper zanaflex and haven't had a problem yet (one order should be here soon...in transit), but those are the ones that I worry about.

Zanaflex isn't a controlled med, is it?
If it isn't then you should be good to go and you will recieve the package unless it's deliberately mislabelled.
However, if it is a controlled med, then be aware of the risk of seizure. Going by what people have said, there is a roughly 10-20% give or take chance of a seizure if you order controlled meds from any international online pharmacy, places like Switzerland, Canada and England have a lower rate of seizure (ie, 1-10%) whereas places like Thailand, South Africa, Romania, Russia have a higher seizure rate (ie, 10-20%). Anywhere where there is some political trouble may increase the seizure rate. Sorry to say that but they are the facts.
A 0% chance if you order from a US online pharmacy. If you're in US, best if you order controlled meds from within the US.

Actonbell - are those morning glory blooms I spy on your post? If so, PM me. And don't agonize about IOP orders: I'd give you a 50/50 chance of losing your investment. if you can't afford that risk, you need to look at alternatives 'cause that's the grey area you're playing in.

Plotinus, I don't think the drugs I ordered have much of a seizure potential. Tramadol and prilosec(now that it is over the counter, may be cheaper to buy here,I'll have to do some figuring). It is just that I bought these medicines without a prescription or a doctors blessing. I have bypassed laws, and as your average ordinary law abiding citizen, it makes me uncomfortable.
