At 3:30 I got the nicest phone call from MidlandMD. They told me the reason why they will not help patients in Tennessee (and the other seven states I mentioned in my earlier post) is because the state legislature in Tennessee (and I guess this is the reason that applies to other states too)will not allow doctors outside of Tennessee treat patients living in Tennessee. It's enought to make a nice guy like me say things that I shouldn't. I am certainly going to let my lawyer (best man in my wedding and under-college roommate)who works for the state know about this. Somehow OUR word has to get out!!!
I just wanted to make it a bit more clear how wonderful I thought it was the someone (sorry I forgot his name: a bit of 'sometimers' creeping in I guess)phoned me and explained the situation (previous post above) to me. In my above post I took off in a personal direction concerning my pain etc and I want to just stress how great MidlandMD must be. I WISH I COULD USE THEM. FOR THE REST OF YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE, ENJOY THEIR HOSPITALITY AND COMPASSION!
They really are great and it scares me because this type of legislation is spreading. It's wierd, too. Some state, Nevada I think, won't let OP's serve people living in that state! (I've actually seen "will not ship to Nevada" on some international sites, too.) I hope you can either find an OP with a Doctor in Tennessee or a good PM doc.

Actually I believe Midlands decision not to sell to TN residents is their own choice. I live in TN and use an out of state OP. In fact, the one I am using now was just chosen because I needed some pain relief untill my med records arrived.
I have already contacted a couple of other OP's that offer better prices and service for when my script expires.And they also deliver to TN. So it seems Midland made their own choice.
