I've been wanting to try an OP like YOD, but am worried that my records aren't complete in regards to my pain. I have seen my doctor a couple times about my shoulder pain, but she has never actually prescribed anything other than flexeril. Does this mean that I would only be prescribed that same medication by an OP? Also, she has never done any xrays or anything, but the pain is very significant. Should I have xrays/MRI done first or what? Would my records be sufficient? I'm really unsure of what an OP is looking for...any help would be appreciated. My doctor seems very unwilling to prescribe anything for me. I also have GAD and all she is willing to give me is Paxil, which doesn't do anything for it....saying that benzos are dangerous, etc...
If you have a recent "superbill" with your diagnostic history listed, that should be OK. I sent mine in and it had diagnoses like "Thoracic Sprain" and other nasty items on there. If they see something chronic or a permanent disorder in that diagnoses history, you should be OK.
