Hi all: I just thought the group might find it helpful to know of a doc in Nashville who writes a lot of scripts for people in pain. This is a real face to face visit that I am discussing. I have been going to this guy for about 6-9 months and he is compassionate regarding pain. So if you are ever in Nashville or know of someone who is and needs a pain doc may I suggest Dr. Robert Cochran, 2201 Murphy Avenue, Suite 301, 37203. Despite my having to see on orthopedic doc a month ago for blowing out my shoulder (that doc supplied 60 demerol), Dr. Cochran did not tell me to wait for 9-30 when my prescription for 90 hydro would be refillable, he asked me what I needed. I said 30, and he wrote out a script. He did tell me that I will need to do something about the growing tolerance soon and I really do appreiciate that. So, in all things, he abides by the rules of medicine, does not over medicate, and is not afraid to treat real pain when even the worst of circumstances come into his office. May more docs follow his example.
