I absolutely aggree, this medicine was never naufactured for birth control its was made to put pre-menapausal women into full blown menopause. It is very dangerous and there have been many cases of hemmorageing, blood clotting, etc. Becomming Sterile from this drug is also a BIG side effect. I had major problems with this med, I went on it after the birth of my son, my pre-pregnancy weight was 105, I only gained 23 pounds during prergnancy and after I returned home I was about 115 and fit into a size 5.....I began to gain weight rapidly within about 3 months of taking this shot to the tune of 100lbns within a years time, I saw several drs who refused to admit that it was the depro provera doing this to me, actually had one dr tell me to stop putting food in my mouth! Well I finally found a Dr that did a blood workup and found that my liver enzymes were skyrocketed (your liver synthisizes most of the fat in your body) so I stopped the shot, well my periods (which I didnt have during the shot) came on like a hurricane, almost to the point of hemmoraging. It has taken me 8 years to take the weight off and I am no where near a size 5 I am a size 12 but I am 5'8" so that is acceptable. My point is, if you are young and ever want to have children please do not risk taking this drug, I actually read about an 18 year old girl that hemmoraged so bad that they had to do a full hystorectomy on her not only ruining her chances of ever becomming a mother but losing your hormones at that age will casue her alot of health problems in the future.
