My doctor gives me a script for it once a year. I go to walmart every 12 weeks, pick up the prescription which is $72 and then my husband gives me the shot. The only side effect I have had from is that I have put on a little weight, maybe 10 pounds. Oh and I also do not have my monthly menstrual anymore either. I have been taking it for 4 years now.
