That is probably THE most aggravating thing. (Well, actually the backslapping and buttkissing is worse, but this is at least in second place). If you notice, the more that there is a real CS issue, the more quickly the thread is locked.

I swear, I think sometimes there was a class at NWW called "Reverse Moderating 101". Open a new thread for the same topic? A no-no on every other forum in the universe. "Bump" a thread to the top? Another no-no on EVERY forum. Delete posts just because you disagree with the opinion? That's not moderation. Moderation is making sure everything stays civil and on-topic, without personal attacks. Banning people without warning first? WTF? I give these mods an "F minus".
