Re: REASSURANCE FROM NWW PATTY:

Man, what a situation has unfolded over the past few months and year with NWW! Obviously there are some blatant problems and issues that need to be addressed. It is my contention though that, as someone posted earlier in this thread, there are ALWAYS two sides to every story. Just as it is said about terrorists - one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. While I cannot deny the experiences that some have had with NWW, I can say that I think most people will benefit with some perspective on this situation. NWW used to be the gold standard in the OP world. There was a time when not many ROP's existed that provided the services and prices that NWW did, nor the med count. This FACT enabled NWW to sort of monopolize the market and gain an enormous share of the OP market. NWW, for most of the meds it prescribes, prpbably carried more than half of the market share. I don't think this was due to anything more than the simple fact that they were one of the only ones out there. And they have remained out there since their inception, changing themselves as new rules and laws dictated. So with their enormous customer base, they were bound to have problems. Its all a question of proportion. As the number of customers they had increased, so did the chance and frequency of customer problems and concerns. Its only natural for this to be so. So as their customer base increased, and as problems increased in proportion to this, DB provided its services for people to voice their opinions in order to vent their frustrations, and ALSO to help newer customers and/or members of this forum to have the information they needed to make an informed and smart decision. And personally I feel DB, though not deliberately, contributed to the attitude towards NWW. Far more problems were being reported here than were successful experiences. This trend is also a naturally occuring phenomon, for if we look at how the media covers the news, the bad far outweighs the good news because it simply sells more product. Of course, no one here was trying to sell more "product," but it is only natural or people to feel more compelled to voice their displeasure than voice their pleasure with something. And I think that with all of the bad experiences being reported, even though they were a minority compared to people that were having good experiences, the general feeling was that NWW was losing its footing and place in the OP world.

Other places have opened up in the previous couple of years, and even some that have been around with NWW, and they have begun to gain a sizable market share because of their customer service, accessibility, services they offer, and other perks that we all prefer and enjoy. Most of these places, and 5 or 6 major ones in particular, have become major players in the biz. I think it is ignorant though to refuse to recognize that these places also have problems with their customers. Granted, these problems may not and are probably not of the same magnitude as at NWW now, but there are problems. Simply go to their forums, if they have one, and you'll see that there are tracking issues, consult issues, payment issues, refill issues. This is just part of the biz and there really is no way around it. We are in human hands and humans, by nature, are not perfect themselves, so their work cannot be. These places probable stay out of DB forums because they, unlike NWW, resolve most of the concerns of their customers. But going back to my original point about perspective, these places also lack the customer base that NWW still maintains to this day. So, inherently, as the size of their customers bases remain smaller, so will the number of customer service issues, if the proportion and ratios remain constant. So while it does seem the NWW has tons of problems, this simply could be because they have more customers and thus more complaints. While NWW's problems are real, the number of posts here may be a misleading indication of how the company acts in general.

I'm not refuting the fact that the are indeed losing their footing, because some of their practices and procedures now are very questionable and some are even blatant violations of policies and/or rules. Believe me when I say that NWW is not what it used to be. I just think that people are losing sight of the fact that tons and tons of their customers are still very pleased with service, their mod's aside, and I am one of those customers. I consider myself very fortunate to have NEVER, in two years of service, had any problem whatsoever with NWW in any way, shape, or form. This being so, I have to recognize the problems that people are having, because they are real and serious for the most part.
