I can completely understand the reasons NWW would feel their customers could benefit from a message board. It seems to give people a sense of community & friendship much like we have here...a feeling of family. I do believe this is true for alot of their customers, because of the loyalty that they have for NWW. It offers customers a chance to get to know the staff on a different, more personal level than other OPs, where all communication is done by phone or email. The staff is available to answer general questions regarding the company & procedures and also, those questions that are unique to each individual customer. IMHO, having a message board can be a very nice benefit for the customers & maybe make the company itself a little more efficient & fun for the employee. But Patty, I saw it for myself. You really crossed that line into a very unprofessional area. Someone posted their personal experience and they were called a liar among other names & in fact, the entire group here at DB was insulted. Although your comments were supposed to be private, I don't think a company representative should speak OF customers TO other customers, no matter what the situation may be. I believe speaking ill of other customers IS a breach of privacy. If I am paying a company with MY hard earned dollars for a service, they should NEVER, in any way, shape or form, speak ill of me on a PUBLIC FORUM ! (Think about it!!) Anyway, the whole thing degraded into a very childish, name calling, backstabbing mess. That said, I also do believe your comments WERE misused for Pywackett's personal agenda. One that she/ he could not let go of needing to be right & wanting the people at NWW to be 'proud' of them. I'm not sure what they hoped to gain from all of that. Your apology seems sincere to me & not just an attempt at damage control. We have all made mistakes similar to this in the workplace so maybe we can let bygones be bygones. Take care Patty (This isn't meant towards the people who are upset because of bad experiences with the business side of NWW, I just meant it for Patty) |
