Well somebody has to be there to sign for the package, just have that person give the driver the c.o.d.
If you are in most areas it is safe and effective to tape it to your door w/note--downside then it is filled out but if you keep other 1/2 (reciept)-you can rectify where u purhased it-use your grocer.
