Quote: This is copied from the e-mail confirmation message they send you when you order: “Please make Cashier Check or Money Order payable to RxBetterDeals.com and have it ready when UPS deliver your medication.” For the record, my order was shipped the day I placed it. It doesn’t get much better than that! I always liked rxgooddeals, was upset when they shut and am happy that they are back, although, alas, not happy they no longer accept CC’s (I used to always pay by Amex). Also, more importantly, thanks to everyone for getting back on topic. I haven't been on the board for a while so I open this thread, go immediately to page three to see the latest posts and all I see is a discussion of addiction and a few of the typical, but annoying nonetheless, "these [no rec] OP's are for people feeding their addiction...." posts. Not that anyone cares, but for the record it is those types of posts, with this type of preachy type attitude ("get some records") that has made me less of an active DB'er lately, and I used to be quite active (check my post count). Like the couple of fools who posted that we should all be happy because these no record places appeared to be all closing a couple of weeks ago as this will help keep the fed's off the remaining, record requiring OP's [their source, of course]. Although all the online consult/no rec places appear to be back up and running at this point, much to the dismay of some people here it would appear. I also find it funny that the first thread I ready after almost a week of not being on the board contained some of the same posts that annoyed me and drove me away in the first place! Like the fool who said that we should all be happy because these no record places appear to be closing. Guess things haven't changed much. Maybe some other people feel the same way. Maybe not. Whatever. And please don’t flame me that I am playing down addiction or something. In fact, having been through and recovered from two hellacious addictions myself in my lifetime, I agree that addiction is a terrible thing. But being someone who was addicted I also know that those types of preachy type posts, much like preachy friends/family, do NOTHING to help someone or deter someone from finding a drug if they are addicted. If anything, they often depress and anger and drive the seriously addicted further “underground,” cutting them even further off, which obviously makes their addiction even worse. As I have stated many times before there are many sites and boards that are much more helpful to an addict who wants to seek help (and only those that want to quit have any chance of succeeding) than a board designed to help people “find the best places for prescription drugs.” When posters on such a board start telling others, based on simple posts many times just asking information, that they are addicts and just looking for a fix and if not should “get some records” they are, in my opinion, at best just appearing hypocritical and at worst just being cruel and unhelpful. There is no way anyone can determine the reasons behind someone’s need for med’s based on a short post. Therefore, as such, I believe we should stick to the stated purpose of the board and help discuss sources for meds, experiences with OP's, etc. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but keep the preaching and addiction warnings/finger pointing off, especially at least, a thread discussing the renaming of one of the most popular, oldest and best priced online consultation, no record domestic OP’s selling, among many other med’s, hydro’s and a board designed to discuss experiences with domestic OP's! Just my two (okay, maybe more like 50) cents. Flame away. |
