No, it seems that they are going to honor existing refills written by Dr. D...the acquaintance of whom I spoke in my last post was a patient of Dr. D and the new doctor was willing to approve the refill if she provided local pharmacy info & birthdate. I would guess that the new doctor is looking for evidence of an existing script before approval & if everything checks out she will get her refill.
I don't know about the doctor actually having time to phone these pharmacies - this is second-hand information. Maybe he is just randomly selecting customers to check up on or ephy might be cracking down to cover their butts. Dr. D was terminated from AAAMedsWW so its possible he was also terminated from ephy rather than just having quit. I've read posts about AAAMedsWW having to scramble for a new doctor and pharmacy so I would assume things were serious enough with Dr. D to have to terminate him immediately rather than being able to take the time to replace him & then fire him. If he's under some sort of investigation (just a guess but I'm going to look into it) that could explain both the records crackdown at AAA & the pharmacy info request at Ephy.
If I find out anything else I'll let you know.
