Re: unreasonable shipping charges

IMO, shipping charges are way too high. I recently ordered a replacement part for my computer. It weighed almost two pounds. (my meds always count as one pound). Anyway, I paid $20 for FedEx Priority Overnight shipping! $20 for Priority Overnight, and that wasn't discounted as part of the deal. I was like, wow! I pay $28 for regular UPS Next Day Air Saver everytime I get a refill ($40 for Saturdays!). The pharmacies make so much money on the meds it kinda ticks me off that they routinely hike up the shipping charges like this. Then again a lot of it is my doing. I've gotten into the habit (in business as well as with my meds) of always clicking on Next Day Air. Otherwise I'd spend less than half of what I usually do. No matter how you look at it though, the OP's and pharmacies do take advantage.

BTW, the computer part I mentioned was shipped in a box literally 20 times larger than the part itself. I mention this only because pharmacies generally promise "discreet, confidential packaging", but the meds typically arrive in a rattling, form fitting letter pack with the word "PHARMACY" on the label! If only my meds were shipped in the same type of big box, it just might be worth the extra $$$
