I posed this same question as a response to another member in another Topic (Topic name - www.valueprescribe.com). I finally realized that it would probably make more sense to go here. Here goes............... I am going to go to a local walk in clinic (Saturday if I receive my needed answers) and be seen for migraines and carpal tunnel pain. My past experiences with these "walk-in emergency rooms" are that it is "hit or miss" if they even prescribe something like tylenol 3 (qty 20 or so). I've had some just give me a script for 800mg of motrin before. My question is that from my previous history and knowledge, I know that I prefer LT 10-500's or Vic 7.5 750's. I thought I read somewhere that YOD wants to see something that you have been prescribed a particular medication previously before they will fill a script for the requested meds. Is that necessarily true or can I (or should I) request the medication I want during the consult with YOD. I'm hoping that the one or two page summary information that I get from the walk in clinic will suffice for records. Sorry, but I'm getting nervous and don't want to throw away a Benjamin Franklin at the walkin clinic and not have what i need for YOD and I also don't want to go to the walkin clinic if this will be a "Pie in the Sky" shot in the dark. Most importantly, I'm sick and tired of being yanked and cranked by buymeds and tropical and I need to find a "real" op. Thank you all for the very much need help. Any pointers or guidance would be great - (as it always is here on DB) |
