Firstly, rather than assume that everybody is as honest as say... you surely are, I try and sit on both sides of the fence. I am not, nor did I one time say this person was not in pain or that they are a drug seeker. I DID however, try and approach things reasonably and compassionately. Clearly you missed that and clearly, in your own cloud of anger, you can’t see that there are, perhaps more than one side to every story, no? In my line of work, I read medical records constantly- guess who mostly never realizes when somebody is seeking drugs? The primary- why? Because people generally run to other doctors seeking the drugs they’re already getting. Most concerns with “Drug seekers” that I’ve seen coming from the Primary occur when the patient asks for a new Rx on account of having accidentally dropped them down the toilet or dropped them in the cat litter box merely days after picking up their last Rx and it happens time and again until the doctor will no longer prescribe. Did I EVER ONE TIME accuse this person of being less than forthcoming? No. So, I think if I were you (and thankfully, I am not), ‘perhaps’ before jumping the gun and assuming the worst, I’d take the time to READ just what was said without ASSUMING (you know what happens when you assume...) that there was some intent other than what was typed. If I choose to assume myself, my assumption is that people are being honest as they have no reason to come into a place where nobody knows them outside of a moniker on a forum and be anything other than honest. Seems to me you need to take a long hard look in the mirror to see just whom it is that you should label distrustful- weren’t you quick to jump to the WRONG conclusion about what I was saying? While you’re at it, maybe you’re in need of a refresher course in manners yourself?!
