You membership expired but we are happy that you got a new one.

We try to send reminders, we usually do send them a few days before expiration but we can only send them to the email address on file, the one provided when the subscription was purchased. E-mail addresses change quite often, or we are not given the correct address, and sometimes the reminders can not reach the right person.
