I want to thank you all for keeping this going. I long to PM more, but the house is looking um, well never mind. I don't know if this should be a new thread, but we are all already visiting this one. Do you know it will cost over $11 million dollars to send out the ballot explanations in CA. That's a lot of afterschool programs, and elderly in house nursing. But they're willing to spend the money. So I'M willing to hijack the publicity. How can we put up a web site that records hits of how many people would support a candidate that bucked the pharma/DEA system and supported chronic pain patients? Is there a way we could get everyone across the US to "vote" within a one hour period so the Powers that BE could get some sense we are mobilizing without US losing our ANONYMITY. Right now, all the articles in Self and Jane and News Shows are being suggested by certain interests--the same ones that take up the glossy pages opposite the articles. Have you ever tried to track down a corporation that was doing something unethical in your town? They live, and die, by obfusticating exactly who is behind what. Hey, it works for them, why not for us? We know the media will cover the recall; it is impossible for them not to cover this 'flash mob vote' It is just too much of a sound bite to ignore. What do you all think? How hard would it be to get a site up that looked professional and garnered serious attention? What is the best way of awakening candidates to the trememdous voting bloc that is...us. |
