I'm moving tomorrow and the brainiacs at SBC Yahoo won't have my DSL on in the new place for nearly 2 weeks.
Obviously, I'm going to have a new IP address at that point. Will that cause problems with board access?
(1) you'll be very lucky if SBC can manage DSL at all, let alone in 2 weeks. I'd do the "free" dial-up plan for back-up as suggested - Earthlink is better than AOL.
(2) your IP address should be invisible to the board. Nearly everybody using dial up ISP gets a different IP address every time they dial in. Not certain whether SBC DSL, if you ever get it, will dynamically allocate IP addresses or not -- in theory, since you're always "on," they shouldn't but I'm not certain that's really how it works.
