reminds me of the time I had to have the power company come out and replace a meter someone killed with a rifle. The power was still on and the meter was stopped, but I figured they would find out eventually, so I called them. This was at a telephone switch room out in the boonies. It was a nice day and I had the doors open for fresh air and was working on the computer next to the door. The whole place ran on batteries and inverters. So the power guy kept coming up to the door to tell me he was going to shut down the power and I kept telling him to go ahead. I guess he finally figured I was an idiot and cut the power. I could see them out by the pole staring at me while I continued typing away. Before they turned the power back on they came in the building and looked all around in amazement at the computers and overhead lighting that kept working fine without their commercial power. I love messing with people's (small) heads.
