The mod can move posts and threads... just press the notify moderator button to let him know...

What you should do is pay attention to what Toky suggested.

a. notify the moderator, using the notify moderator button, so we can move / delete it
b. send a PM to the person that posted in the wrong area explainig his mistake, you can also answer by PM, but better is to let them know where they should post.

But you should not reply to off topic posts as it only promotes more off topic posts and the info will get lost because eventually, when we find the post, we will most likely just delete it with all the responses.

We are usually just deleting off topic posts, we do not want to reward with answers the people that do not care to read or respect the rules or forum descriptions.

We did tell Lovepink, an we thank her for her concern and all the help she is offering on the boards, that she could respond and then notify us so we could move the thread and that was our intention... but after thinking about it a bit more... we decided it is not good to go our of the way for people that post the questions in the wrong forum...

Thank you Lovepink and sorry we changed our mind. Please try to help those asking the questions in the proper forum first :-)

We will no longer reward posters making post in the wrong forums by moving their post: we will just delete them. Some people post on purpose in the wrong forum hoping for a faster answer and we should not reward them with an answer.

It is a harder stance but it will be in the best interest of regular members that follow the rules and forum descriptions.
