Well, I don't have high speed or Windows XP and there wasn't a problem with AOL being down...I could connect okay and still access some sites. So I decided to follow Stephdar's advice and run AOL's web browser auto fix....

It appears to have solved the problem. I've been surfing for an hour or so since I ran it, and so far, I've been able to access all websites without getting either of those messages. And as an added bonus, everything seems to run smoother and faster.

I didn't even know the web browser auto fix existed. Thanks for the info, Stephdar!
