A few things:

If you are using high spped, you need to go into network connections and make sure your connections are all good.

Your machine is telling itself that there is no connection to the internet available, thus the messages.

If you have windows XP, use the restore function to go back to a date before you had this problem, say a week earlier. While you will not lose any files, any programs you loaded will be lost and you will need to reinstall them. Again, these are only prgrams you installed within the last week.
