My experience has been that the package doesn't even hit my city until delivery day. If it's sent on a Friday it spends the weekend in Louisville and even Philidelphia and won't get to my hub until Monday anyway. If however you see that it is at your hub, phone CS and tell them that the package is going to the wrong address and that it'll be a big mess for everyone involved if it's delivered there and ask them to hold it for pickup. I've used that one a couple of times when I decided it would be better to pick it up rather than wait at home . Unfortunately you have to outright lie like that to get what you want because the UPS policy is that they have to make a first delivery attempt before they put it on hold. Next time, save yourself the trouble and address the package directly to your local hub. That way it'll be available as soon as they open instead of receiving it hours later when the truck finally pulls up. Good Luck!
