Caramello, How long have you been on the Wellbutrin? It sometimes takes a couple of months to settle into the meds. It took almost 2 months on Wellbutrin to see any change in emotions/feelings. I was taking Effexor and my hair began coming out--in clumps! I have waist length hair and lost about 1/3 of my hair. When I washed my or brushed it, it looked like I was a chemo patient. I spoke to the doc about this and he said it wasn't the Effexor, probably something else. Did research on the net, and found quite a few folks have that problem with Effexor. Next visit, I showed him the posts and he said "Well, the med CAN cause problems for some folks!?!?!" Switched to Wellbutrin and taking mass amounts of Zinc, magnesium, etc to help hair loss. Only problem is the Wellbutrin doesn't control the depression as well as Effexor or Celexa. Of course, they act on a totally different part of the brain, so that could explain it. One interesting thing about Wellbutrin: literature states the mechanism of action is unknown. Peace, ~Dazzle |
