I take Wellbutrin for ADD and I can't really tell you if it has a weight effect or not. I've always been rather thin and I cerainly didn't lose anymore weight while I've been taking it (5 years). It is a very light stimulant or I guess to be technical it is not a stimulant but has a stimulating effect. (Yeah - sounds like the same thing to me too - but try to tell that to my doc...)

I haven't had the horrible side effects described by some posters either. I did have sleeping difficulties for the first little while - actually I didn't sleep for three nights in a row the first time I took it. But it went away quickly and I have had less side effects from this medication than any other. It's not the BEST ADD med but it works pretty well. I can't take ritalin or adderall so I have to rely on it.
