The legal system is a mess. This all started with a relatively minor infraction, a questionable script. This caused a very unfortunate chain of events leading to a mother's death. I am sure the officer did not know what the woman was trying to obtain illegally from the pharmacy, when you get a dispatch you don't get many details just the nature of the violation. I am sure the officer was surprised when she hit his motorcycle, heck think about this many police officers in cities now ride bicycles so the vehicle he was driving is really irrelevant what is relevant is her using the car as a weapon. I think the real unfortunate part of this story was the woman overreacting wether it be accidental or otherwise and the course of action the police officer took defending himself. Most drive through windows have cameras and I am sure the tape might give some details as to what really happened at that Walgreen's on that fateful day.
