Re: Warning re meds from China

I just returned from Bangkok a few days ago. I visited a couple of pharmacies that I have been to in the past. The gov't is cracking down on pharmacies dispensing controlled substances without a prescription. I also read an article about this while I was in Singapore. The locals in Thailand are upset because once they could buy their anti-anxiety meds over-the-counter and now some pharmacies are requiring a prescription. Although, give them a hundred baht donation ($2.50 US) and they change their minds pretty quick.

Watch out for street pushers. You will get ripped off. Find a good taxi driver who speaks English well. Just don't flash too much money around.

Also, there is a new club drug over there call Yabba. It is more powerful that XTC and as addictive as crack cocaine. People will try to sell you these little amphetamine pills. Stay Away!
