Re: voixx is DONE... is celebrex next???????

This warning was not on my list of problems or side effects of the drug printed on the sheet the pharmacist includes in the bag. However I recollect a warning issued about 2 years ago that advised patients who take Vioxx to take a daily aspirin with Vioxx if they were depending on it to act as other NSAIDs which thin the blood, because Vioxx has been shown to allow blood to clot easily.

What I did notice that popped up on the pharmacy's sheet listing recommendations, only recently, is that one should remain sitting or standing (do not lie down) for 30 minutes after ingesting it, something people are advised to do to prevent damage to esophagus. I think this same warning is a "sticky" on the side of a bottle of Fosamax, and episodes of GERD can be prevented this way.
