I would bet my last dollar on the fact that Celebrx and the other Cox inhibitors are going to be yanked next. The big pharms are now really scared of the humongous lawsuits coming their way. Already in this AM's Sunday paper there are about 10 advertisements from law firms aimed at people who have taken Voixx.

Having worked in pharmaceuticals and know how this "works" - I will also bet my bottom dollar on the fact that Merck knew from day one that there were big potential problems with this drug. However, it is another big "me too" moneymaker - very little invested in R&D for this type of drug vs the potential for a huge moneymaker. Clinical studies were in all probability "fudged" and FDA as usual looked the other day.

This is one reason I am SO angry about the BS of cracking down on OP's and IOP's saying overseas drugs are NOT safe. They are no more nor no less safe than what you can get an RX here for - just more government hypocracy and pandering to the big pharm firms who need a thorough housecleaning along with the FDA - or the fox that watches the henhouses.
