The hydrocodone in Vicodin makes you go deaf after many years. The acetaminophen kills your liver - it's estimated that a dose of 1g of acetaminophen a day will result in liver failure by the age of 65. Most users of Vicodin take more than 1mg of acetaminophen daily.

These are not for long-term use. Chronic pain should not be treated with Vicodin.
