Amen Therion: The DEA is an out of control agency. Read Jay Epstein's Agency of Fear on DEA's beginning. There are many many cases of DEA agents bribing patients to deceive their doctors. The DEA pay their informers a percentage of the seized assets, they protect these snitchs from being arrested even when the snitchs committ crime. I'm writing a book about the war on drugs from the standpoint of a chronic pain patient and have six cartons of research. I've interviewed hundreds of patients, doctors, and yes, LE. I taped a March hearing on drug abuse and watched it again. When a CNN radio reporter asked about doctors being arrested for prescribing controlled subtances. Ms Good read from notes and said only 51 doctors had been arrested in 2003 and they did such things as exchange drugs for sex, sell drugs on the street, and were addicts. Ms. Good has an altered view of reality. Of course, Dr. Goody Two Shoes, Dr. McClellan, the head of the FDA echoed the BS about 12 year old children becoming addicted to Oxycontin. Yada Yada Yada. They both failed to mention that in 2002 100 people died from ODing on Oxycontin and 1400 died from Tyenol overdoses and thousands more have damaged livers from Tyenol. |
