Wow...what is happening in this country anyway when people are accusing the DEA of murdering people who have plenty of options? This statement is ludicrous.
With all due respect, saying that many pain sufferers have "plenty of options" is ludicrous. The fact that this forum even exists punches holes in your argument. Your statement is simply not true. I made an analogy to stress a point. The fact is, there ARE people who choose to end their own lives due to their inability to procure adequate pain control. This is quite well documented if one chooses to do the research.
I know a number of people who would dearly love to know about the "options" you're speaking of. I have a friend who was kicked out of her pain clinic because her home was burglarized. She was forced to withdraw from OxyContin CT because she could not find ANYONE who would replace her stolen prescription or offer her any "options" at all. She is now drinking vodka to pass out every night. She's on the road to an early death. The rules that enabled the pain clinic to kick her out were written by the DEA. Please let me know what her "options" are. I will call her with the good news as soon as you tell me.
