Re: Anti-Depressants and Suicide: Overview

Very interesting article, wish it had been a bit longer though.

I sincerely hope it is just the media blowing the British studies out of proportion.

But in the other article, I can't remember the guy's name, Dr. Mogadeeshu or something (that's the capital of Somalia I think lol, something Mosheedoshu or whatever) said that he was very alarmed over this and wanted the drugs taken off the market for children.

Why was he so concerned if it is just "a few more episodes of suicidal behavior (there were virtually no completed suicides on these clinical trials)"?

This Mosholu Parkway guy (that's a highway in the Bronx heheh, does anyone remember this guy's name) seemed pretty adamant about it, and I can't imagine he gets his information from media-skewed articles.

A part of me want wants to let this go with "ok, I can see why it is misinterpreted, it's unfortunate the media is capitalizing on it" but another part wants to say "what is being covered up here that this high-ranking FDA official who would have known everything Dr. Kramer did, is so worried about?"
