Close to 1800 people a year die from stomach bleeding from aanti-iflamitory drugs. I was told this in the hospital after a transfusion. My problem came from prescribed Naproxen. My gasto estimated close to 15,000 people a year die or suffer life long handicaps from prescribed ant-inflamitory drugs. He also said the new drugs like celebrex are not much better. These drugs should be monitored more closely and should not be the first drug of choise for pain.
