Right on! So many times on this site I have said things, and the first response is to bash Clinton. I have never once mentioned Clinton, nor have I said I supported him. Only that I dislike republican policy. As I have said, I am a rather well-off from a rather well-off family and no matter what the situation is I will get what I need. I mentioned I chartered a jet to get to a Cedars-Sinai when I had a really serious migrane and the hospital in the middle of nowhere was useless. I was ridiculed and called a liar by some of the small minded right wing types on this site. Seems untrue? Well it cost about $4200.00 for the plane, which I split with a co-worker, so it was $2100, but tax deductable so it was about $1400.00 out of pocket. Less than half of what I spend every month going out to eat. My point was: for me it does not matter who is president, I will get what I need.
I understand most people are not that fortunate. We here on DBs have a common goal: Accessiblity of quality medical care with respect to pain managment. I use OPs because the service is so fantastic. If they are regulated away, I will not be left high and dry. There are many people who have no alternative and need them to function in thier daily lives. We, as CPers and DBs members should be concerned with that reality and the education of the population at large as to the massive positive effect that OPs have on peoples lifes.
As I have also said, the only reason to vote for Bush is if you make make more than $400,000.00 a year and care only about money. I could care less about tax cuts and would rather have no homeless people and available, on demand medical care in the US. I know for sure that I will never be able to convince any Bush lover otherwise, but lets keep our eye on the ball. Z.
