http://www.themilwaukeechannel.com/health/2872847/detail.html Wisconsin's Prescription Drug Web Site Launches Today Gov. Doyle Says State Wil Fight FDA POSTED: 10:08 a.m. EST February 25, 2004 The state of Wisconsin will launch a Web site today at 2 p.m. that will offer links to Canadian pharmacies approved by the state. Wisconsin will model Minnesota's Web site. Last month, that state launched a Web site that links to information on two Canadian Internet pharmacies the state has certified as safe and reputable. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration sent a warning letter to Minnesota's governor, calling that state's plan "unsafe, unsound and ill-considered." Gov. Jim Doyle said Wisconsin will fight the FDA if it tries to take action against its Web site. The Web site is www.drugsavings.wi.gov, but the links to pharmacies won't be there until later today. |
