Tragr, soooo true. My husband has an incurable, chronic kidney disease, and was just diagnosed with bone cancer. His doctor put him on morphine extended release with instant release morphine for breakthrough pain. The doc told him that because of the current climate surrounding oxycontin, he would not prescribe it although it is a wonder drug for chronic pain sufferers. They are in Florida. It's unfortunate that medications are available to relieve pain, but because of the opiophobic climate that exists in our world, it's not available to those who could benefit from them.
