Sorry, Rush will NOT help anyone but himself. It's the nature of the beast.

I am European, so maybe I have no right to speak on an American forum anyway. Or so I have been told a few times lately - that and "love it or leave it" (no NOT on this board, I find people here to be very non-judgemental).

I came over to the US a capitalist right-wing pig myself, a lefty-hater, and must say that your left is to the right of our ultra-right. On a NON-political note, your Rush, to me seems nothing but a hating machine. Talent? I don't think so .

I don't get this whole liberal vs conservatives thing, but I do know this; the Liberals are being painted with the same brush as a certain group of people some 70 years ago: they are wrong, evil, they are "against" you, they should be silenced and deported, converted to Christianity, or, if you listen to Hannity or (Anne) Coulter, maybe they should just not be allowed to vote. Nice.

Not that your dems are so much different from the republicans. They all lie., and really, their agenda is the same.

Half the country is in power and hates the other half that disagrees with them. That's half a country full of dissenters, and they should just shut UP??? These are Americans too; they live and work, consume and pay taxes, and yes, they believe in the very same God that the government has seemingly hijacked.

Upshot of all this: your gov't is too busy hating and judging to care, and Rush the rightwing attacking machine, too, simply hates half the country. He also hates addicts (you can verify this by downloading mp3s of his show).

Kicking his narcotics habit, he will find God, I can assure you of that, and he will demonise pain drugs and make it his mission to ensure that others don't make the same "mistake" he made.

Do I wish your friend well? Yes I do, I hope he gets his health back and I mean it. What I don't want our corpulent cuddly little fuzzball to do with his talent on loan from God (blasphemy right there) is make you and me into the "evildoer" and throw us in jail to save our souls for our own good. If I want to go to Hell that's my business.

I really do wish him well, and I am sorry if it got political here. I just don't like or trust your libs or your cons, and I abolutely dislike Rush Limbaugh for his racsim, his misogyny and his hatefulness to many of the less fortunate out here. Don't think for a second that they're looking out for you (to paraphrase another icon).

Limbaugh's drug problem is probably responsible for the OP's packing up lately, and the media frenzy is certainly going to deter doctors from prescribing people in pain narcotics. It happend to me already, and my doctor cited Rush Limbaugh as the reason for wanting me to take Ibuprofen long term.

One more thing: is it really right for one person to have so much power?
