A few comments on this evil individual Rush:
1. You don't get off oxycontin with a month in a hospital. My (extensive) experience in this matters dictates that he will be put on methadone tablets by a private physician. Something most of us don't have the luxury of doing.

2. So many people listen to this idiot he is actually influential in making right wing policy... the type of policy that would make all our lives miserable. If it was up to him we'd all be in jail. But not him... he's "sick"

3. I have already made my points about how "sick" people can be the most evil troublemakers there are and use this "wooden leg" excuse to get away with it.

4. Check out the movies "JFK" (I'm sure many of you have seen it)... and better yet "Z" about the military junta coup in Greece, which JFK borrowed from liberally. The government uses right wing bullyboys like Rush to influence/make policy. Without getting into the whole long story I have studied some of these groups - some hide under "protosurvivalist," some use the moniker "christian" to do their dirty work - in Z it was "CROC" (Christian Royalist Anti-Communist Organization).

The members of these groups are recruited from lowlives of society, thug homosexuals and other dregs.

I happen to be related to "Deputy Z." depicted in the film Z who was played by Yves Montand. He was assassinated in front of almost 200 policemen by two thugs driving a kamikaze (three wheel pickup truck used in Europe) by a blow from a billy club to the head.

Rush is evil and I have no sympathy here. I know Florida, too. If it was one of you or us, you'd be looking at a lengthy jail sentence and fine if you pulled his shennanigans.

I would not feel bad if he died, as I described in my previous post. No pity, no sympathy, no happiness... just a nothingness which happens when the really evil bite the dust. And considering what a public enemy he is to us, and to so many Americans (did you know Rush was on welfare once and you think that would at least give him an iota of sympathy towards the people he attacks)... I wouldn't be sorry if something went terribly wrong in his detox, or the depression overwhelmed him and he decided to "end it all". I wouldn't be happy - just relieved his mouth would never be heard again.

Usually left wing types don't employ the bullyboy tactics depicted in Z - sometimes I think we're too humanist for our own good.
