Along with the activism, we need researchers to work harder on substances that will allow us to safely maintain a lower tolerance level for a longer time and a humane way to regularly control pain flares and take regular 'holidays' from our meds.

This would be sanity, not sensationalism. It would also be less money for the drug companies, but so much better for all of us over the long run.
Maybe someday.....
