Grandma - to put it simply, NO - you do not have much to worry about...... We as patients are doing nothing wrong (as long as you are putting factual information on your medical history forms when you sign up with a consultation service) It is the businesses practices of some of these OP's that are unders scrutiny. We as patients are simply taking advantage of something that is very beneficial for those of us that are not being treated properly by our local physicians. We are receving legit and legal prescriptions from licensed doctors who use their own judgement on whether we should be 'eligibile' for receiving the requested medications or not. I would not worry at all about you getting in any kind of trouble personally. What we should be worried about, is whether these doctors and pharmacies are following the laws put in place well enough to continue doing what they are doing. We, however, are simply patients. We are using services that are very helpful for those of us without insurance, that are being under-medicated for our conditions or not being medicated at ALL in some situations. I am more worried about how hard these doctors and pharmacies and the whole OP world in general is being scrutinized. You, however, as a patient, do not have much to fear (other than losing OP's, obviously) |
