On Fox News they just asked a doctor if Rush will be able to beat his addiction given that he has tried it twice already. The doctor said maybe not since he may need to be on narcotics to treat his chronic pain.
The most logical answer I have heard since this whole thing started. If he is in pain the chances of him seeking medication will be very high. He needs to be under a doctor's care instead of self medicating.
