Re: Gov. Bush wants a state wide database- ARTICLE

Ever since George Bush became preseident and after 9-11, this country is steadily becoming like the old USSR. The Patriot Act and Homeland Security are right out of Geroge Orwell's classic 1984. Orwell was right, he was just off with the date.

Untill the democrates either control things again or at least counter-balance the repubican guard, then in a few years we will have a national identity card, concentration camps for anyone with a middle eastern name or looks like someone from the middle east even thought they ar born americans. These people will get the same treatment they did with Japanese Americans in WW2 and God knows what else.

Only a fool would rather not pay a few more dollars in taxes and have a rational Democrat government that is a hell of a lot less intrusive than the republicans! I got a whole $5.00 on my big tax cut this summer. Can't decide to spend that extra money at Wenys or Macdonalds once a month. But got to eat cheap.

It was only by an accidental leak that we didn't get Patriot ACT 2! I have read some things in that and it is the scarest thing ever written.

If I was a parent of someone in Iraq which was a war fought for because it has the 2nd largest oil reseves in the world and there were no weapons of mass destruction. The Iraqs would have used them. This was for the gulliable public. Wonder how people feel now that the truth about Bush is emerging and American soldiers are coming home in body bags.

I thought that Veinam taught this country a lession it would soon not forget.

The expression those that don't think history is useful are doomed to repeat the same mistakes never heard of George Bush or republican controlled government. I can say in my 47 years, I have wittnessed TWO no win wars except for the people who will profit from this.

I wouldn't want to be in their shoes (assuming they have shoes) on judgement day.
