sad, but true. i wholeheartedly agree with you. if there was a way i could find a kind doctor or a pm clinic around here all the money i save could and would be put to good use in these organizations. it's too bad that people who are fortunate enough to receive effective care forget that there are a lot of us who get little more than "there is nothing we can do, there is no cure, you just have to learn to live with it, have you tried accupuncture or yoga (full knowing that no insurance that i am aware of covers these)" honestly, i get so jealous of posters who claim things like, "well, my doctor only lets me have 3 norcos a day". only??? try 1 and a half t3 per day max and sometimes he doesn't refill right away because they are a narcotic. oh, but he was very generous when prescribing me celebrex, which i am sure is going to be pulled from the market after the vioxx debacle. after the second day it never touched my pain, but i was prescribed enough of them to slowly kill me. my physical therapist told me once that if i am in enough pain to be distracted from my exercises (which is like always) to take my pain meds before i go in. little does she realize that i don't even get enough to give me a little relief for a few hours which i always save for the evenings. i can't afford to take them during the day. oh, sweetz, i don't mean to go on and on like this, but it's building up it's like opening up the floodgates when i start to talk about it. i do apologize. i am lucky to be getting my psych meds and for that i am thankful. i have to try harder to count my blessings, i suppose.... but, i do agree with you. i hope you are receiving adequate care, dear, i really do. pray for me. please. thanks for posting, hon, i wish more would too..... love, angel |
