Hiya EZ ... you and I go back a long way together. It's good to see you today! ![]() This issue has been beat around lately, good and bad, with little agreement, other than we all wish the government would stay out of our lives and allow us to make informed, adult decisions regarding our medical care. Honest, professional OPs are in business to stay in business. Take NWW for example. The CEO is constantly educating himself in regard to the laws, legislation and ever changing climate in regard to his business. He certainly would not allow something which would shut him down if he had any say about it. Neither would Kathy at Your Online Doctor. These legitimate businesses are requiring exactly what is needed of their patients to remain legitimate. They research the laws, with their attorneys at their sides, and any changes on a day to day basis. A great example of this is Woody's Pharmacy who most recently won the right to continue business as usual. They are the first pharmacy that I am aware of to stand up to their state's board and win! To date there is nothing that will take OPs away immediately. If that were to occur it would take time, a lot of time. Yes, the government is trying to involve themselves with internet medicine, but the job is simply too big for them to handle at this time. There are too many sites. One closes and five more open. A big part of me knows that these OPs are doing what they need to be doing to protect their business and in turn my business and medical needs. I agree that we do need to take a stand against the organizations which are trying to take away our choice of our own medical treatment and I support these OPs all I can. I do not believe, however, that this is a critical "right now" threat to any of the legitimate online services. The rogue sites are an entirely different story. Thank you for the link in your post. It's a wonderful site with tons of information. And again, I'm really happy to see you again! Take care friend! ![]() |
