Flunitrazepam is indeed a C-IV substance in the US. There has been much talk about up-scheduling it, but this has not happened as of yet. It's sort of a screwy situation, as it's not approved for use in US. Similar to the midazolam situation here, one of the most widly prescribed tranqs in Europe. Not approved for prescription, only the IV Versed for hospital/surgical usage. And yes, the whole 'date-rape' ordeal is largly responsible for the current state of Rohypnol.
