I just wrote a huge post on this and it didnít post. ARGHHH I donít want to re-write it at this hour. But basically, I have seen it all from 18 yr olds alleging pregnancy to 31 with fleabites. Most people that apply for disability are frauds. That is the sad part about the system. Especially mental claims. You can read an x-ray and see a bulging disc, but you have to rely on someoneís testimony if alleging depression and anxiety. Anyways, there are 3 steps to the process. Initial claims, then if denied, you do reconsideration within 60 days, then onto a law judge if denied again. I think the law judge is so ridiculous simply b/c I am highly trained and qualified in reading and interrupting the medical records and know the laws behind SSA and disability. While some law judge that has no idea about depression or cancer, lets some 31-year-old draw a check. That is why you see so many people that arenít disabled drawing checks now. Personally, I think if you arenít allowed after a 2nd attempt, you just canít reapply until your condition worsens. Just another one of my soapbox issues. Again, if you have specific questions, PM me.
