Don't worry. They won't test you on your first visit. They like to make the tests random. Don't use bleach or any other additives. They will detect tampering at the lab. Hydro and some benzos have a short half-life. Depending on how long you take benzos and the dosage you take will determine how long the metabolites can be detected in urine. Xanax has a very short half-life. It can be eliminated in two days or so. Ativan has a medium half-life and can eliminated in about 5 days. But...if you take benzos on a daily basis they can show in some cases for up to 30 days. The best method for passing any drug test is to drink lots of water. LOTS OF WATER and take vitamin B to add color to your urine. If you can, exercise too. Anything to speed up your metabolism. BTW...the standard screen for PO's does include BZO (benzos) using the strip method. If they send the sample off to the lab and they use GC/MS they will be able to measure metabolites by ng/ml. They have cut off points and it's a very accurate test. Remember that these tests are on the state's dime, so they won't test you everytime you walk in (unless you are on some sort of drug court program). If you received a year of probation you'll probably be tested two times tops. That is if you stay out of trouble. Take care. -EW |
