Just want to clarify something about ssi & ssd...If people are collecting ssd, that is the money that THEY paid into their retirement account over the years that they have worked, it s NOT tax payers money...it is that persons money. SSI, is a different story, that basically is for people who have never worked and it is a FEDERAL welfare. So, when appling for SSI double check with someone about owning any property or cars or stocks, anything of value before you apply. Barb
